Frequently asked questions
Does compressing a JPEG reduce quality?
Re-encoding always changes some pixels, but at quality 75–85 the difference is generally invisible while the file becomes much smaller.
Is GPS and camera data removed?
Yes, by default. Untick “Remove metadata” in Settings to keep EXIF data.
Are my images uploaded?
No. This tool runs entirely in your browser, so your images never leave your device.
