By using JFIF.IO (the “service”) you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
The service
JFIF.IO provides free online tools for converting, compressing, editing and inspecting images. Most processing takes place in your web browser. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the service at any time.
Your content
You keep all rights to the images you process. Because standard processing happens on your device, we do not receive your images. When you explicitly choose server processing for a file, you grant us only the limited permission needed to convert that file and return the result; the file is not stored.
You are responsible for making sure you have the right to process the images you use and that doing so is lawful.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the service for unlawful purposes or to process unlawful content;
- attempt to overload, disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the service or its infrastructure;
- use automated means to send requests to server-side features at a volume beyond normal personal use;
- misrepresent the service or remove notices from it.
We may limit or block access that violates these rules.
No warranty
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. Image conversion can alter files — for example, lossy formats discard detail and some formats cannot store transparency or animation. Always keep a copy of your original files.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from the use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Third-party services
The service may display advertising and use analytics provided by third parties, subject to your consent where required. Their use of data is governed by their own policies.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top of the page shows the latest version. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
