Frequently asked questions
How does it choose the quality?
It encodes the image several times using a binary search over the quality setting and keeps the best result that stays under your target.
What if the target is impossible?
If even the lowest quality is too large, you get the smallest possible result. Resizing the image in Settings helps reach very small targets.
Are my images uploaded?
No. This tool runs entirely in your browser, so your images never leave your device.
